The result of the study that exposed people with healthy dental enamel to a variety of well known beverages for a period of two weeks had found that carbonated iced drink and ice teas were especially very harmful.
These beverages contain flavors additives like tartaric, malic and other organic acids that are more aggressive in eroding teeth. There are also a few beers that contain the least amount of flavor additives that was found to be the safest soft drink in safeguarding dental enamel. However, nearly 27 percent of the beverages that are consumed by the people are soft drinks. The overall soft drink consumption has gradually increased over time and remains on the rise although contributing to the increase in oral health problems.
Canned beverages and soft drinks are a constant feature in daily life and profits the big soft drink industry rake in every year suggests that soft drinks will not be out of fashion very soon. However, the soda drinks can be enjoyed in limited quantities. This is because soda which consumed during meals is less harmful than when it is consumed other time.
